Jeanelle is a Neurodiversity Affirming, Child-Led & Sensory-Play based New York State Licensed and Certified Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist, Evaluator, and Adjunct Professor. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA and a Professional Certificate in Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities with a Bilingual Extension in Spanish. She received her Bachelor of Science in Individualized Studies; Programmatic Emphasis in Hospitality Communication and Marketing at the State University of New York College at Buffalo and a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus.
She is currently working towards her Doctoral Degree in Executive Leadership with a School District Leader (SDL) Professional Certificate at St. John Fisher University - In-person classes are at Iona University Campus.
For the past six years, Jeanelle has worked in the five boroughs of NY and is now working for Yonkers Public Schools in Westchester to bring back the community that she was raised in. She also works as an Adjunct Professor at Molloy University. In addition, she provides home-case evaluations and monolingual and bilingual (Spanish) hybrid-model (in-person and/or remote) speech-language therapy for special and general education.
Jeanelle feels strongly about honest, open circles of communication, and collaboration between all providers and families to ensure the best quality of life. She specializes in Bilingualism, Autism, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Fluency Disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Social/Pragmatic Language Delays, Behavioral Deficits, Social-emotional learning, and more.
Jeanelle is the creator behind IG @hearforher - HEAR: HEAR FOR HIM, HER, & ALL ALLIES. 'Hear' to raise the bar for HER: Honest, Effective, and Evidence-Based, and Relevant communication in whichever form possible. Through art, humor, dance, you name it! She shares cultural awareness, global issues, speech-language topics, and tips through self-made/edited videos, art, clinical expertise, and experiences.
